Owner, Big Time Attic
Kevin Cannon is a co-founder of the Minneapolis cartooning studio Big Time Attic, and along with studio mate Zander Cannon (no relation) has illustrated several nonfiction graphic novels including Evolution (Hill & Wang, 2011), The Stuff of Life (Hill & Wang, 2009), and T-Minus: The Race to the Moon (Aladdin, 2009). Understanding Rhetoric, the first visual guide to writing, was published in March from Bedford/St. Martin's. In his spare time, Cannon writes and draws adventure stories set in the Canadian Arctic, including the Eisner-nominated Far Arden (Top Shelf, 2009), and more recently Crater XV (Top Shelf, 2013). Cannon is also an award-winning children's book illustrator and has produced several covers for alternative weeklies across the country. He is a graduate of Grinnell College, where he studied fine art.
